100mm / 4 circular flap valve, for installation on water outlets, manufactured by Althon Limited. This flap valve fits pipe sizes up to 100mm / 4, and has a design life of 50 years at 1Mwc and 72 hours at 5Mwc.
Circular flap valves are typically installed above the water level on a pipe outlet to prevent back-flow up the pipe during flooding or heavy rain. The valve has a 10mm opening pressure when submerged, and has an adjustable ballast weight.
This Althon flap valve is made from HDPE, and comes complete with stainless steel fixings, chemical anchors, and an EDPM seal. If necessary, the HDPE valve can be reinforced with stainless steel.
