Confined Spaces Course:              Duration One day

Objectives:

To provide delegates with the knowledge and skill to undertake their duties and responsibilities under the regulations. 

To provide a safe system of work to ensure that the confined spaces are gas free prior to entry.

Content:

Current legislation
Responsibility of the employer and the employee.
Hazards
Gas detection equipment
Harness
Hygiene
Personal protective equipment
Permit to work
Communication
Practical assessment
Written test.

Assessment:

Delegates will be assessed in the use of standard gas checking equipment followed by a written test.

Certificate:

On satisfactory completion of the course delegates will be issued with a
H S A certificate.

Visual aid will also be used during the course.
